MARTHA
14th November when the child protection desk officer of Blantyre police station referred Martha to STEKA house for safe home proper .In the police report said, Marth13 years old have been abused by her on mother whom others claimed that she is not her own mother. She was used to go to south lunzu primary school where she was in standard 7. Martha comes from chimbiya village, Traditional Authority Mpama (Njuli) chiradzulu district.
Martha disclosed that her mother is prostitute and she was forcing Martha not to go school asking her to look after the children while her mother is out for sometimes three days. Martha have been reporting the matter to Blantyre police for ahelp.She have been going to the police for almost three times till when the police decided to refer her to STEKA house for further help and safety because her life was at a risky while the police are investigating the matter.
On 26TH of January 2009, Martha went to school and didn’t come back, when we followed up we discovered that she was at her home
